자고로 숲과 하늘은 높을 수록 좋다고 했다. 한국의 숲은 평평한 곳을 찾기 힘들다. 우리의 숲은 항상 산속에 포함되어 있으며 경사로에 위치 하기 이때문이다. 이곳은 태백산 만항재 입구에 있는 숲으로 관리가 잘 된 곳으로 보인다. 바로 옆에 도로가 있어 차량접근이 용이한 곳이다. 멀리 있는 나무들이 가늘게 보일 수도 있을것 같지만 실제 가 보면 그 높이와 웅장함에 입이 절로 벌어진다. 주소는 장산콘도를 치고 가야 한다. 강원도 영월군 상동읍 구래리 1-1 이곳에서 1분거리에 있는 삼거리 숲
