  남한강 상류인 임계천변 암반위에 있는 정자, 조선숙종때 문신인 이자 가 사잭당파의 싸움에 실망하여 관직을 사직하고 정선에 내려와 은거하던 중 지은 장자. 이자는 자신이 거처하던 곳의 마당 앞에 자신의 호를 따 수고당을 건축하여 공부하고 문집을 편찬하던 곳 . '구미정'이라는 이름은 이곳에 앉아 언덕 아래 자연경관을 관명하면 9가지 풍치의 미를 볼 수 있다는 의미이며, 현판에는 9가지 풍치를 다시 세분한 구미정 18경이 적혀 있다. 영화 '대립군'의 촬영 장소 이기도 하다 문의 : 정선군청 문화과
